SWM Seminar: Composting & Vermiculture by DENR-CENRO Liloy

Date: January 22, 2020, Place: New Barili Covered Court

The seminar on composting & vermiculture was conducted by Ms. Janice Bonggolto, a Forest Technician II, an EMB Focal Person, who works at the DENR-CENRO Liloy. As requested by the team NB, she was the one who was assigned to give the comprehensive lecture on composting & vermiculture. The theme of the seminar was “Proper Ways of Composting & Vermiculture as a Key for a Successful and Fruitful Solid Waste Management practice.” The seminar used PowerPoint presentation, hand-outs, and return demo of vermicomposting, pre-test & post-test evaluations. Top performing participants in pre-test & post-test evaluations & the participant with the most active person as chosen by the speaker were given free hand shovels as prizes. There was a scheduled power cut of the day, this didn’t stopped Team NBB & the barangay council from continuing as they are prepared with a generator set (Barangay Owned).
