Amidst Pandemic

Years 2020 – 2021 was a challenging experience for medical students. But what is more challenging are the unsettled activities left in our beloved community. At first, we thought that the rapport build between the community people and us might go to waste; rather it served to be the greatest thing we have accomplished. Through this, we were able to continue the unsettled activities and we can proudly say that the community people themselves accomplished these. Through their help, most of the activities addressing the unavailability of an Emergency Response Team was slowly put into action. We were able to continue the documentation of the logbooks to provide proper documentation and recording of emergency cases, created an emergency ordinance, find ways to reach a wider population which is why we decided to create the pre typed text messages about proper wound care which will be sent via text among the community people monthly, and of course the adaptation of a very useful application called PIEL SURVEY to continue our supposed-last–community-survey for this exposure. Because of this pandemic, we learned and experienced that circumstances is just a mere pebble if your determination and willingness to help is like a rock. Applause to the community people for without them, our community plans wouldn’t be possible.
