The Team NBB together with the Barangay Council, DSWD Kalahi and Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Carmel Mathilda Ladeza was able to organize Barangay Assembly. The gathering was held at the Barangay Covered Court, 1:00 in the afternoon of July 09, 2018.

The Assembly aimed to gather the community, the stakeholders of the health and health-related services that the Team and the Barangay would be facilitating. With this event, the team organized a set of activities that mostly encourages the community’s active participation in identifying their perceived problems on health and health-related aspects. This would hold a bigger part in the formulation of plans for the improvement and sustainability of health projects and solutions.

The program started with a short prayer, led by Mr. Dwight Christian Genturalez, and together with Ms. Monique Macrohon, they both facilitated the flow of events as the masters of ceremony. The DSWD Kalahi representative took over the stage for some announcements and briefing for their project.

The Team NBB then started the flow of activities with a short report of the house-to-house survey which represented, at the present, more than 80% of the barangay's total households. The data presented would also serve as a guide for the community for the problem list.

The audience was then divided into their respective Puroks. Each group was provided with materials to list down their perceived problems and was facilitated and assisted by one medical student to help them use a prioritization tool for their problem list. The list was posted and a group representative would explain to the whole audience and community why they chose those problems and how they have ranked them.

The program ended with a short summary of the community's listed problems and a short closing message from the Barangay Captain, Hon. Alhazher Hasim.

Through this simple exercise, the Team NBB was able to hear out the community's perceptions and thoughts on their present situation. The activities showed that even grouped into puroks, the New Barili people has unison at aiming one goal, to solve health and health-related problems. Their active participation and willingness show a positive outlook at the future of the New Barili.
